Harvard College Career Advising

Spring Semester @OCS

OCS will be open for virtual services. In light of the FAS announcement about Spring 2021, please see the following information about career services for enrolled and on-leave students.

The Office of Career Services welcomes students from all Harvard College concentrations, and offers a wide range of services and resources tailored specifically to internships, entry-level jobs, and summer opportunities for Harvard College students and recent alumni. Alumni within five years of graduation have full access to all services, with the exception of some online subscription resources.

When applying to graduate programs, Harvard College students often receive help from their House Tutors and academic departments. OCS supplements this support with additional resources and guidance for students planning for graduate programs.

Virtual Drop-in Advising

Drop-In advising is on hiatus and will resume in the fall. We will however continue to offer our scheduled appointments year-round.

Monday-Friday, 1:00-4:00pm (ET): OCS offers Harvard College undergraduates ten-minute “ask me anything” virtual drop-in sessions. This is the best way to get started with OCS or to have your resume or cover letter reviewed.

Log into the queue starting at 1pm (password ocs1).

Schedule Virtual Appointments (phone, Zoom, or Skype):

Discuss career decisions, summer planning, making connections, interviewing, applying to graduate school, or other questions during a thirty-minute scheduled appointment.

Schedule an appointment through the "Schedule an Advising Appointment" link in Crimson Careers. First year and sophomore students must attend a drop-in session or any OCS orientation first before appointment scheduling becomes available.

Note: If available appointment or drop-in times will not work for you due to your time zone, please reach out to ocsrecep@fas.harvard.edu.

Summer Planning and Funding

The summer funding team offers drop-in advising and information sessions at key points throughout the year for Harvard College students seeking financial assistance for international (all fields) and domestic (public service only) summer experiences.

Premedical and Health Careers
