Harvard College Career Advising

OCS Virtual Services

OCS is open for virtual services, but our building at 54 Dunster Street is closed for the time being.

We are actively monitoring email accounts during normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 9AM-5PM).  We are conducting virtual advising appointments by phone and SKYPE and hosting webinars in place of in-person events when possible. Please register on Crimson Careers for an appointment

During this time of uncertainty, we encourage you to prioritize your safety and wellbeing. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us and to your Harvard network. We’re here and looking forward to connecting with you virtually for the remainder of the Spring semester.

The Office of Career Services welcomes students from all Harvard College concentrations, and offers a wide range of services and resources tailored specifically to internships, entry-level jobs, and summer opportunities for Harvard College students and recent alumni. Alumni within five years of graduation have full access to all services, with the exception of some online subscription resources.

When applying to graduate programs, Harvard College students often receive help from their House Tutors and academic departments. OCS supplements this support with additional resources and guidance for students planning for graduate programs.

Drop-in Advising

Drop-in Advising has been put on hold at this time. Advisers have increased availability for one-on-one scheduled appointments, which can be conducted by SKYPE or phone, to account for the absence of drop-ins.

Scheduled Appointments

SKYPE and phone appointments are available for students seeking conversations about career decision making, summer planning, making connections, searching or interviewing for a job, considering graduate school, and similar career advice.

  • 30-minute scheduled appointments: Schedule a 30-minute appointment with an adviser through the "Schedule an Advising Appointment" link in Crimson Careers.

Summer Planning and Funding

The summer funding team offers drop-in advising and information sessions at key points throughout the year for Harvard College students seeking financial assistance for international (all fields) and domestic (public service only) summer experiences.

Premedical and Health Careers

The premedical and health careers advising team offers drop-in advising, appointments, and information sessions at key points throughout the year for Harvard College students and alumni pursuing health-related fields: human medicine (MD degree, allopathic medicine, osteopathic medicine), public and global health, dental medicine, veterinary medicine, nursing, and other allied health fields such as optometry, pharmacy, and physical therapy.
