Mike Gaw '90, Assistant Director of the Division of Trading and Markets at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), will be available for 20-minute small group office hours to talk about getting your start in government, living and working in DC, and how to best position yourself for opportunities in the field. Since coming to the SEC in 2000, Mike has worked on a variety of issues relating to the regulation and oversight of the equities, fixed income, and derivatives markets. Mike began his career in 1995 working on international banking regulation at the Federal Reserve. A Social Studies concentrator, he got his B.A. from Harvard in 1990. Along the way, he did a lot of theatre and played varsity volleyball. Later, he got an M.Phil. from the University of Cambridge and a J.D. from Boston College Law School.
