Join this conversation with David Chu, PhD, President of IDA (Institute for Defense Analyses), and learn about entry-points into this field, and how you can apply your scientific and technical knowledge with IDA and similar institutions. IDA is a non-profit corporation that operates three Federally Funded Research and Development Centers in the public interest: Systems and Analyses Center, Science and Technology Policy Institute, and Center for Communications and Computing. IDA provides objective analyses of national security issues and related national challenges that require extraordinary scientific and technical expertise. IDA has opportunities at the PhD, Master’s, and Bachelor’s levels, all of which require US citizenship.

David Chu (PhD, economics, Yale) leads >1000 staff at IDA. He has worked for the Department of Defense, Congressional Budget Office, and RAND, and he has served in the US Army. Please register through Crimson Careers.
