Matt Mardo

Hey everyone! My name is Matt and I’m a senior in Pforzheimer House concentrating in Neuroscience. I am originally from Lincoln, RI. On campus, I volunteer with the Harvard ExperiMentors, conduct research, and serve as a FOP leader. After college, I hope to pursue an MD-PhD program to combine my interests in medicine and translational research. Beyond a passion for science, I have also taken a variety of Philosophy and Spanish courses while at Harvard. During the past three summers, I have worked in different labs at Boston Children’s Hospital, the RIKEN Center for Brain Science in Japan, and now in Sherman Fairchild on campus. My research interests focus on neurological disorders and have included projects on Autism and Parkinson’s disease. If you have any questions about finding a lab/conducting research, exploring opportunities abroad, or anything else about being pre-med at Harvard, please do not hesitate to reach out!
