Hi everyone! I’m Divya, a senior in Mather House from the great state of Michigan. I study Social Studies, with a focus on the ethics of psychiatric healthcare in America, and am pursuing a secondary in Computer Science. This year, I will be serving as director of the Kids with Special Needs Achievement Program (KSNAP) and am eager to figure out ways to engage virtually with our students! I am also involved with mental health advocacy on campus, the South Asian Women’s Collective, Harvard College Bhangra, and PAFing. Over the past three summers, I have explored bioinformatics research, public health research, and healthcare consulting, and am really excited by the intersection of ethics/philosophy with healthcare. In my free time, I love to dance, work on graphics designing, and watch Avatar: the Last Airbender on Netflix! Before declaring Social Studies, I was uncertain about pursuing a non-STEM concentration as a pre-med student; however it has made my academic experience so fulfilling and has really shaped my future interests in health and medicine. I look forward to talking with you all and helping you navigate your own unique pre-med journey!
