Hi! I'm Smit Chitre, a junior from Troy, Michigan. I live in Currier House and am concentrating in Social Anthropology, aiming for a secondary in either Neuroscience or GHHP. Outside of the classroom, I'm involved in Partners in Health - Engage and the College Honor Council. I spent this past summer in Costa Rica supporting an MPH student with their practicum and helping run study abroad courses on global health equity. In my free time, I like to play soccer, walk around Boston, and learn new songs on my guitar. Overall, I'm undecided regarding if and when I want to go to medical school, but I've learned that this uncertainty is completely fine as it allows me to freely explore subject areas that interest me. If you want to speak about non-STEM concentrations, uncertainty about the future, or being pre-med at Harvard, I would love to chat.
