Swathi Srinivasan
Hi! I’m Swathi, a junior in Eliot pursuing a joint concentration in Social Studies and History and Science. I was born and raised in Beachwood, OH, a suburb of Cleveland (go Cavs!). I used to dabble in Alzheimer's research before switching to my interests in global health and health policy. In addition to being a Pre-Health Peer Liaison and a PAF, I co-chair the Policy program at the Institute of Politics, intern for a policy-based non-profit that works on ending the opioid epidemic in MA, and help students in an intro life science course on campus (LS1a) as a peer student leader. I also conduct health policy research through the Government department, as well as foreign policy research through the Kennedy School Belfer Center. My concentration and extracurriculars run deep in the humanities, so I may seem far from what is "typical" for a pre-med student. Nevertheless, here I am! There is certainly room to study and pursue your passions at Harvard...even if you’re pre-med!
