Swathi Srinivasan

Hi! I’m Swathi, a senior in Eliot pursuing a joint concentration in Social Studies and History and Science with a secondary in Chemistry. I was born and raised in Beachwood, OH, a suburb of Cleveland (go Cavs!). I used to dabble in Alzheimer's research before I switched to an interest in global health and health policy. In addition to being a Pre-Health Peer Liaison, I was previously a PAF, co-chair of the Policy program at the Institute of Politics, an intern for a policy-based non-profit that works on ending the opioid epidemic in MA, and a teaching assistant in Chem17 and LS1a. Most recently, I conducted public health research both independently and through the Government department on the opioid epidemic, HIV/AIDS, and COVID-19. I have also conducted foreign policy research through the Kennedy School Belfer Center. On the side, I've worked in molecular biology and chemistry labs at Harvard, and I continue to foster my interest in science innovation and medicine through many different classes and extracurriculars. There truly is room to study and pursue your passions at Harvard...even if you’re pre-med!
